v0.15: Rework of stun mechanics, item-set challenges


'Stunned' status is now applied gradually, and gives some 'resistance' after triggering. This penalizes stun-lock builds, which now require either more stuns or some method to remove resistance. At the same time, weaker stun allowed more cards and items with stun effect to be added while keeping reasonable balance. Stun now also applies to hero, and a few new monsters have 'stun' attack.

New challenges are added for gathering various unusual sets of items.

Major gameplay changes

  • Rework of 'stunned' status. Now must be >= 5 to trigger, and reduced by 10 when triggered,  granting temporary 'stun resistance'
    • Hero can now be stunned
    • Status is now redirectable
    • Monsters and cards with 'stun' effects rebalanced

Minor gameplay changes:

  • Tutorial hero HP significantly increased to make it harder to die in tutorial
  • Added 'spikes' encounter effects
  • Added 3 more achievements for completing all quests in certain locations
  • Added 10 item-related achievements
  • Unlocking stash is now easier
  • Bounty items now indicate when target enemy is present in next encounter

Minor UI changes:

  •   Document spikes and vampirism activation order

New cards (3):

  • Charge, Smelt, Mana Storm

New items (5):

  •   Tetsubo, Helmet Padding, Pipette, Harpoon, Hunting Hat

New monsters (2):

  • Bronze Golem, Eye of Dilemma

New quests (5):

  •   Battlefield: Lure enemies into a trap
  •   Castle: Train with automatons
  •   Empty hospital: Prepare exact dosage
  •   Smithy: Gather scrap metal
  •   Cinderfall wasteland: Give sacrifice to the flames

Balance:

  • Buffed monsters: Frost Giant
  • Renamed Giant Spider to Black Widow
  • Rebalanced vampiric monsters slightly
  • Abacus item now affects cards with 'Discard all' effect, e.g. Brainstorm
  • Added 'mask' tag to Peeled Face item

Selected bugfixes:

  • Fixed Metronome and Empty Rucksack item descriptions when not in game
