v0.22: Item counters, bugfixes


Game items may now contain counters, giving them limited number of uses per stage or turn. With this change, I slightly nerfed a few most powerful items, as well as added new ones which were previously too powerful to conceive.

Major gameplay changes:

  • Items now can have usage counters

Minor gameplay changes:

  • Added 6 encounter effects for tagged item rewards
  • Added 1 new achievement
  • Item ‘pickup’ effects can now interact with other modifiers
    • E.g. Meat Ration is now affected by both Clay Mold and Revenant’s max resource modifier

Minor UI changes:

  • All status-changing effects now uniformly have ‘Status +n’ description

New cards (5):

  • Stubborn Delusion, Oakwine, Willowwine, Aspenwine, Thornwine, Tick Tock

New items (7):

  • Phylactery, Tome of Novelties, Burnt Pancake, Buckler, Snake Eyes, Matryoshka, Paradoxical Figure

New quests (5):

  • ‘Forgotten altar: Endure thunder tribulation’
  • ‘Forgotten altar: Study ancient cairns’
  • ‘Toy factory: Transport components’
  • ‘Graveyard: Construct a phylactery’
  • ‘Tavern: Join the wine tasting’

Balance and miscellaneous changes:

  • Nerfed items: Blowgun, Scythe
  • Buffed items: Gavel
  • Buffed cards: Pulley Hook
  • Make quest easier: ‘Secluded retreat: Embark on spiritual journey’
  • Make quest harder: ‘Art fair: Carve a perfect ice sculpture’

Selected bugfixes:

  • Fixed upgrade display for Rally
  • Fixed prerequisites for ‘Old temple: Fail a ritual’ quest
  • Fixed duplicate card rewards when getting tagged rewards
  • Fixed crash on using Pipette item
  • Fixed crash on using Mind Control card
  • Fixed bug with negative Frozen effects – they now properly do nothing
  • Fixed crash on chaos terrain with ‘May encounter additional enemies’ ascension
